NSWC Federal Credit Union Offices – Fredericksburg
Baskervill was engaged by NSWC Federal Credit Union to design their offices located in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
When Naval Surface Warfare Center Federal Credit Union wanted to propel its Fredericksburg-based operations center into the 21st century, they brought Baskervill on board to lead them through the process. We started with Immersion, our half-day brand strategy workshop, and from this investment came our directive: Ditch the ’80s (both in look and in approach to banking) and instead embrace today’s modern and casual retail banking philosophy.
Both a member center and a workspace for the credit union’s employees, the 10,800-SF building is flexible, efficient, and energetic. The ground floor boasts an open floor plan with separate zones for employee workstations and dialogue banking pods. On the second floor is a breakroom that doubles as a community lounge, a training area, and access to a functional rooftop terrace. The interior’s warm, industrial aesthetic evokes the charm and personality of traditional Main Street while still offering a contemporary, multifunctional space supported by the latest in digital banking technology.
