chapmanbdsp Offices – London
KKS completed a design focused on wellbeing for chapmanbdsp, an independent design consultancy located in London, England.
chapmanbdsp specialises in building services engineering and environmental design, delivering world-class projects across a range of sectors. They commissioned KKS to relocate their workplace to 40 Gracechurch St, combining their existing two floors to one floor and undertake a complete assessment of the office culture as part of a major rebrand.
Their dynamic new brand and visual elements reflect how their business has grown in the past 45 years, KKS incorporated the new branding and focused what they wanted to achieve for the future in the design for their workplace.
KKS have provided a workplace design, which creates a sense of wellbeing whilst reinforcing the brand of environmental design. The new space was completely refurbished to include a garden path, which circulates the floor-plate, maximising the benefit of the natural light falling into the building. Seating is available at the walkways so that the natural light is available to all.
As part of the rebranding the internal culture of the office was evaluated and spaces organised to encourage collaboration, as well as quiet oasis areas for individual working. The open-plan office is based on agile working with all desks sit/stand and private lockers and hot boxes.
It was important that the refurbishment would be environmentally responsible, existing materials were used wherever possible, retained from the previous tenant.
For their staff, it creates an environment that makes chapmanbdsp a workplace to thrive in. For their clients, KKS have created a space that reinforces the brand and reflects the innovative culture of chapmanbdsp.
