Confidential Automotive Technology Company Offices – Foster City
Unispace designed a confidential automotive technology company’s offices to support growth and collaboration in Foster City, California.
We partnered with this mobility-as-a-service provider to help them expand their campus footprint in Foster City, California. Having collaborated with them on their South San Francisco office, we understood the client’s vision and design direction. Their goals included aligning with their existing campus and creating a balanced environment with a floorplate that supports flexibility for daily team stand-ups, community spaces, and focus areas for programming.
In the 111,000 square-foot workplace, we kept the aesthetic minimal to emphasize views of the San Francisco Bay and create an open, light, and flexible workplace that supports agile work. The client’s state-of-the-art café is equipped with a professional culinary team and provides staff with selections to different meals during the day, including a custom artisan pizza station.
An interconnecting staircase close to the café entrance bridges teams between floors. And a mix of collaborative and community spaces as well as workstations support the various work modes of employees.
The completed campus space creates an experiential environment that encourages the staff to return to the office and attracts a new wave of talent. Despite pandemic-related delays, and navigating design challenges, agility and nimbleness helped us deliver the project within a short time frame, without sacrificing on quality.
