Epicor Software Corporation Offices – Austin
Gensler thoughtfully completed the Epicor Software Corporation offices to offer a clear and welcoming culture in Austin, Texas.
Epicor Software Corp. worked with Gensler to reinvent their new headquarters in Southwest Austin to empower its workforce to thrive in a post-pandemic hybrid environment and to showcase Epicor’s culture.
Epicor’s workplace is reimagined to foster innovation and collaboration by providing a mix of focus and meeting areas, along with amenities such as a game room and work café. The new workplace is a free address office layout with integrated desk reservation providing a visual cue on availability. Enabling focus work was prioritized by providing ample day offices and focus rooms located near each neighborhood for easy access.
Upon arrival at the workplace reception, guests are welcomed by a custom mural by Michael Johnston, a local Austin artist. The Board room and interview rooms are located off the reception for front facing meetings. Employees entering the work café are greeted with expansive views of the hill country greenery. The work café also doubles as a gathering space for their All Hands meeting and a social hub for team events.
The design team was asked to balance design quality and cost, challenging us to think resiliently and creatively. The re-envisioned design includes new elements paired with premium existing materials to support a sustainable culture retaining as much architecture, plumbing infrastructure and millwork and refreshing them with new finishes The palette is subdued and warm taking a hill country meets mid-century modern feel. Pops of blue and red bring in a splash of color and connect to Epicor’s brand color.
In addition to the workplace, the first-floor executive briefing center provides a space for client connection and entertainment, featuring a digital experience design wall and custom F1 racecar as an homage to one of Epicor’s long-standing client relationships.
