coDesign completed an industrial space for the Bolt Threads offices in Berkeley, California.
This project marks Bolt Threads’ new East Bay location in the center of the Berkeley, California Biotech Hub. coDesign was engaged not only for the interior design but also for supplying furniture and managing the construction, providing a seamless and cohesive approach to the project.
The completed space features exposed ceilings, which can give an industrial and modern feel to the environment. The warm color scheme with earthy tones combined with contrasting bright colors creates a visually appealing and dynamic atmosphere. The choice of colors is carefully selected to reflect the essence of Bolt Threads’ identity and values.
The inclusion of feature staircases, quiet zones, collaboration hubs, and communal areas indicates a deliberate effort to foster employee interaction and connectivity. These spaces are designed to promote teamwork, creativity, and engagement, which can enhance the overall work experience.
