Migdal Offices – Jerusalem
EN Design Studio created the offices for Migdal Jerusalem, a design collaboration for social progress inspired by evolutionary principles, translated through environmental graphics and human action.
Evolution describes the way in which all living things have developed and changed over time. One of the main steps in the theory of evolution is the mechanism of natural selection. This mechanism selects the individuals most adapted to their environment.
It can be said that natural selection is an engine that enables change.
The process does take place on details, but its consequences concern the whole. These ideas were also borrowed from the social sciences, such a model is social Darwinism.Social Darwinism used evolutionary terms to explain social development. One of the developments of this model is a theory called social progress. This theory explains that societies can improve significantly over time in terms of their social, political and economic structure, all that is required is direct human action, one example of which is activism.
