Designing a new London HQ for a private client
An private client headquartered in New York City, has been located at their offices near Green Park in London for a number of years.Having decided to move, they selected The Nova Building in Victoria, a brand-new development overlooking Buckingham Palace, setting the agenda for the firm’s forward trajectory as a state-of-the-art destination for the future of work.
They sought not only a physical relocation but a visual and experiential manifestation of its distinctive company culture.
An agile business that’s fast paced and has a longstanding history of responding to market changes, it’s fitting that the private client was moving to an equally dynamic property. For the interior fit-out we wanted to continue and expand upon that sense of forward motion whilst reflecting the team’s global reputation for professional excellence.
Recognising the company’s high-end yet understated profile, the design maintains a sense of understated luxury, respecting the balance between opulence and subtlety.
Maris Interiors created a flexible floor plan that harmonizes with the Nova Building’s angular architecture, maximising the influx of natural light through expansive windows, as a result supporting wellbeing and productivity.
Drawing inspiration from the design elements of their New York headquarters, the London office carves its own identity, open-plan workspaces take centre stage supporting community and culture.
The Nova Building’s terraces become integral to the workspace, with designated tea points on each office level for team members to enjoy the picturesque views year-round.
The 17th floor, boasting a vast outdoor space, will serve as an entertainment area for clients and colleagues, seamlessly merging indoor and outdoor experiences during favourable weather conditions really enhancing the workplace experience.
