Confidential Media Client Offices – Greenwood Village
Gensler designed a visionary media company’s immersive workspace that narrates a story, blending familiar elements with the transformative journey of media production, featuring dichroic glass, tonally saturated collaboration zones, and flexible work settings in Greenwood Village.
The decision for this visionary media company to relocate after almost two decades in the same office space presented an opportunity to create an original workspace that inspires an esprit de corps exudes the boldness and storytelling that is at its core.
“Bold Storytelling. Hit movies. Fresh Perspectives.”
The vision was to design an immersive workspace that narrates a story, blending familiar elements with the transformative journey undertaken in the media production process. An evolution of raw content into polished video. A place where the work behind the scenes is amplified in the physical space, becoming a collection of frames reflective of the craft and technical expertise.
The journey through the space revolves around a series of connection points anchored by a three-story stair with dichroic glass representing the multi layered effect of light moving together with color as a symbol of final mixed video content. To activate the stair and focus synchronicity, wellness and social spaces are located directly adjacent.
Moving through the core of the space, tonally saturated collaboration and focus zones with sharp perspective angles not only utilize transition spaces for functional work areas but are a tie to the color grading process. These highly saturated spaces create a mood and provide contrast to the monochrome black and white zones. Wider angles at group collaboration areas narrow into one-on-one settings at opposite ends of this middle zone.
The office neighborhoods – on the outer ring of the plan – offer unique work settings with the flexibility to accommodate differing and changing work styles. With a neutral black and white palette, the neighborhoods provide a contrast to the deep colors in the core spaces. The black and white is a reflection of raw film content, an unfiltered foundation, primed for the addition of color, light, and sound.
