  • Daily Mail’s new headquarters at 51 Astor Place reflects the continued evolution of one of the world’s most recognizable news brands. While remaining rooted in its historic print heritage, the new space supports Daily Mail’s rapidly growing digital, video, and multimedia operations. TPG Architecture’s design captures the bold, energetic, and technology-driven identity of Daily Mail while bringing an elevated sophistication suited to its next chapter.

Growing its footprint from 25,000 square feet to over 42,000, Daily Mail’s new space incorporates an array of video studios, podcast rooms, breakout spaces, and engaging work zones to support collaboration, content creation, and rapid communication.

At the center of the newsroom, a high-top standing table and integrated, live-feed video display allows staff to gather during breaking news moments and coordinate in real time with their London office, turning workflow needs into a dynamic spatial experience. The space is framed by planters and a shift in materiality to differentiate its presence from the surrounding open work areas.

Stretching from reception to the “breaking news” station, a video wall corridor functions both as a visual anchor and a storytelling element, reinforcing the Daily Mail’s identity and energizing the circulation path. A wood-framed seating alcove with a banquette in Daily Mail’s signature blue runs opposite one stretch of screens, balancing the use of industrial finishes such as exposed concrete and black metal.

Beyond the newsroom, glass-walled conference rooms, huddle spaces, and a fully-outfitted cafe promote interaction and provide flexibility for individual or team work.

Mirroring the fast-paced media landscape while preparing Daily Mail for the future, its new headquarters reestablishes its foundation around its digital-first work culture, creating an environment that is unmistakably forward-thinking and true to the brand.
