Private Family Office – Zurich

MACH Architektur’s Private Family office in Zurich reimagines the former Elektrowatt building, creating a sustainable, brand-reflective residence with collaborative spaces and serene lake views, enhancing client relationships and discretion.

Firm
  • Client Unnamed Company,
  • size 7,535 sqft
  • Year 2024
  • Location Zurich, Switzerland,
  • Industry Financial / Investments,
  • MACH has designed the new headquarters for Family Office in the former Elektrowatt building at Bellerivestrasse 36 in Zurich.

The concept was to create a Family Office Residence that conveys the multi-family office’s brand values of trust, personal client relationships and discretion.

The project comprises three wings and three large terraces with views over Lake Zurich. The south-west wing forms the representative and collaborative area, where the reception, the shared kitchen with work cafe and the larger meeting rooms are located. The north-west wing is a working area for concentrated work with groups of tables and room-in-room boxes for meetings in the corridor area. Similarly, the north-east wing is dedicated to concentrated work. Its lakeside section is configured as a work lounge with library and window seats, which can be equipped with additional table groups as the company grows.

The building, which was completely renovated by Copenhagen architects C.F. Møller, is characterized by its high quality in terms of materials, sustainability and functionality. The building was named Winner of the European Green Award in 2024. This is also reflected in the interior design. In addition to the expansive views, the high-quality materials and integrated woodwork elements make the office a unique and timeless working environment by the lake.
