Designed to support a growing team and evolving workplace behaviors, this 1,800 sqm / 19,500 sqft workplace transformation reimagines three floors of office space into a highly flexible, people-focused environment that enhances collaboration, wellbeing, and day-to-day performance.

The client sought a workplace that could better support modern ways of working while creating a stronger sense of connection across teams. The challenge was to balance the diverse needs of focused work, collaboration, social interaction, and operational efficiency within a cohesive workplace experience that would remain adaptable for future growth.

The design response centered on creating a refined, flexible workplace that encourages movement, choice, and interaction throughout the working day. Rather than adopting a one-size-fits-all approach, the workplace was carefully planned around a variety of settings that empower employees to select the environment best suited to the task at hand. Focus spaces, agile workstations, informal meeting areas, collaboration zones, and quiet retreat spaces work together to create an ecosystem of environments that support productivity, engagement, and autonomy.

Social and breakout spaces were positioned as key destinations within the workplace, helping to strengthen connections between teams and encouraging spontaneous interaction. Drawing inspiration from hospitality environments, these spaces feature warm material palettes, rich textures, feature lighting, and comfortable furnishings that create inviting settings for informal meetings, collaboration, and social engagement. The result is a workplace that feels welcoming and vibrant while actively supporting a stronger workplace culture.

A strong emphasis was placed on employee wellbeing throughout the design. Natural materials, integrated planting, acoustic treatments, and calming tonal palettes were introduced to create a comfortable and supportive environment. These human-centric interventions soften the more industrial elements of the building and provide balance between functionality and comfort. The workplace feels contemporary and efficient while remaining focused on the experience of the people who use it every day.

Delivered through Zenixspace’s integrated design and construction model, the project benefited from close collaboration between design, project management, and construction teams throughout the process. Careful coordination was required to transform the three-floor environment while maintaining operational continuity and minimizing disruption. The integrated delivery approach enabled streamlined decision-making, effective stakeholder management, and confidence in both program and budget outcomes, resulting in a seamless project experience from concept through completion.

The completed workplace has transformed the way employees interact with their environment. A diverse range of work settings allows teams to work more effectively, collaborate more naturally, and enjoy greater flexibility throughout the day. Enhanced social spaces have strengthened connectivity across departments, while wellbeing-focused design elements contribute to a more enjoyable and engaging employee experience.
