Confidential Financial Firm Offices – Geneva
M Studio SA designed offices for a confidential financial firm in Geneva, that blends performance, comfort, and identity, featuring distinct areas such as conference rooms and lounges, and a thoughtful interplay of textures, colors, and materials to enhance both aesthetic and functional experiences.
Located in the heart of Geneva, RIV10 is the transformation of a 500 sqm office floor into a contemporary workplace designed to balance performance, comfort and identity. Rather than approaching the project as a conventional corporate interior, M·Studio sought to create an environment with a more domestic and tactile character — a workplace where materials, colour and carefully considered details contribute as much to the experience as the programme itself.
The layout combines an open workspace with a series of complementary environments, including three conference rooms, a call room, a lounge and cafeteria, as well as a highly integrated IT room. The different functions are clearly defined while remaining visually connected, allowing the workplace to alternate naturally between individual focus, informal exchange and collective work.
A central aspect of the intervention lies in the dialogue between textures, colours and materials. Warm surfaces and soft furnishings are set against more precise architectural elements, creating a deliberate contrast between residential comfort and the technical requirements of a professional environment. Colour is used selectively to give character and rhythm to the spaces without overpowering the overall composition.
Particular attention was paid to the transition between open and enclosed areas. Transparent partitions maintain visual depth and bring natural light into the meeting rooms, while acoustic treatments and carefully integrated technical elements ensure the necessary levels of privacy and comfort.
Throughout the project, technology is treated as an integral part of the architecture rather than an added layer. Lighting, audiovisual equipment and workplace infrastructure are discreetly incorporated into the interior, preserving the clarity of the spaces.
The result is a workplace conceived not simply as a collection of desks and meeting rooms, but as a sequence of distinct yet coherent atmospheres. RIV10 reflects a broader evolution of the contemporary office: more flexible, more refined and increasingly centred on the quality of the everyday experience.
