Engineering Company Headquarters – Birmingham
iDEA designed the offices of an engineering company, located in Birmingham, England.
The new Corporate Headquarters for this confidential engineering client provides an exemplary working environment across all areas of its diverse operations. The new 26,000 m2 facility consolidates all of Controls Systems operations into a new flexible, responsive and agile building which will act as a catalyst for future growth as part of a new chapter in the history of the business.
A rigorous design rationale which influenced and regulated all aspects of the design, from the site layout and external envelope through to the internal manifestation and ironmongery creates a precision engineered environment aligned with Controls Systems products and branding.
A healthy and attractive environment is provided for all employees by utilising northlights across the deep plan first floor office space. The creation of neighbourhoods and a variety of work settings within the offices ensures a unique and flexible workplace for all.
Collaboration is facilitated by placing shared spaces at the heart of the building within the internal streets. Hub areas within the office areas located around the feature stairs, together with the shared restaurant provide further opportunities for collaboration.
A paradigm shift for this type of manufacturing facility, the building is a Corporate Headquarters fit for the 21st Century.
