The project focused on harnessing the abundant natural light available on two sides of the space and incorporating warm finishes, custom artwork, and unique light fixtures. By blending these elements, the design creates a warm, vibrant, and aesthetically pleasing workspace while paying tribute to 1248’s connection to Kansas City.

One of the key design considerations for the 1248 Holdings office was to make optimal use of the abundant natural light streaming in from two sides of the space. The layout was thoughtfully tailored to capitalize on this feature. The large café area and workstations were strategically placed near the windows, allowing employees to benefit from the invigorating natural light while they work and collaborate. This not only enhances the overall atmosphere but also promotes a healthier and more productive work environment.

To infuse the office space with a warm and vibrant ambiance, the design incorporates warmer finishes. Warm woods, rich leather, and textured stone were selectively used throughout the space to add both visual and tactile warmth. The clean and minimal aesthetic is complemented by these materials, creating a sophisticated yet inviting atmosphere that makes employees and visitors feel comfortable and inspired.

As part of the design concept, custom artwork showcasing notable Kansas City monuments was integrated into the office space. These art installations serve as a celebration of 1248’s strong connection to the city, fostering a sense of pride and identity among employees. The artwork not only adds visual interest but also provides conversation starters and points of reflection for the team, further fostering a strong sense of community within the office.

To add a touch of uniqueness and distinction, custom light fixtures were specifically designed for the 1248 Holdings office. These bespoke lighting elements serve as focal points throughout the space, enhancing the overall aesthetic and providing an element of exclusivity. The custom light fixtures are a testament to the attention to detail and the desire to create a one-of-a-kind office experience for the 1248 team.

The design of the 1248 Holdings office showcases the remarkable potential of previously underutilized spaces. By harnessing the abundant natural light and incorporating warm hospitality finishes, custom artwork, and unique light fixtures, the office has been revitalized into a premium workspace. The infusion of warmth, texture, and custom elements creates a welcoming and vibrant environment while maintaining a clean and minimal aesthetic. The design pays homage to Kansas City through the integration of custom artwork, reinforcing 1248’s connection to the city. The resulting office space not only fosters productivity and collaboration but also instills a sense of pride and identity among the 1248 team, making it a truly exceptional workspace.
