  • Massive Design sought to create a homey environment for employees at a confidential company’s office space in Warsaw, Poland.

After Covid pandemic most of the office space was reinterpreted for people that used to work in home office environment for last two years, but still with some regular office background. In this case Massive Design team had an opportunity to create the space for very young team that have never worked before pandemic in typical office space.

This new Warsaw based Office of the insurance company took a whole floor of an A-class high raise building. The true heart of this office is the social hub, designed as a multifunctional space with welcome zone and touchdown spots, meeting rooms and canteen with open coffee point. This area is also dedicated to be the hybrid town hall space that can accommodate both employees and external guests.

The one of the main goals to achieve was to create something more than the nine to five office. The architects wanted to create a cosy and warming place, that will encourage people to come and spend some time with colleagues. There was no intention of creating just another workplace.

The office is designed to have less boundaries and to create an impression of a smoothly changing environment, that is able to bring all of modern workplace solutions. Apart of typical individual workstations we can find here open co-working zones, variety of hybrid meeting spots and rooms, a quiet zone that serves as a library, or classical focused work nooks.

The interiors are designed to bring the touch of Mid-Century modern, which was popular in US in 50’s and 60’s. The company decided to go this way as a tribute to the time and location of company’s origin in New York. That is why we can see the clerestory windows or colours and forms referring to this style. Especially when it comes to the decorative aspects of furniture finishes. Surprisingly this is what was also appreciated by the young employees who like to spend time in this office.
