RDP Creations focused on the brand theme of “Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity” in the ThoughtWorks office in Chengdu, China, to expand the possibility of diversified extension of the space and design an inclusive space full of humanistic care.

Thoughtworks, founded in 1993, is a world leading software and consulting company with more than 12000 employees in 18 countries. They have a professional and excellent cross functional team, bringing together a large number of strategic experts, developers, data engineers and designers. For more than 20 years, they have been serving many partners around the world.

Start the whole project with the understanding of the brand theme color, and let the self feeling of the color drive the mood of the space. The linkage between physics and senses, and the interaction between body and space fully extend the overall five senses experience and convey the unique cultural connotation of the brand.

    INCLUSION
Entering the Chengdu office impresses you a bright and light feeling. The designer has applied color magic to the reception space, which is paved with a large number of white colors that are inclusive of neutral colors, matching with the more stable “Wave blue” in the brand colors of ThoughtWorks, to form a relaxed contrast to adjust the emotional response of the space. The scattered space forms also strengthen the relaxed atmosphere.

    EQUITY
The designer has set up different types of open office areas in the project, either integrating different functions, or emphasizing special forms, and payed attention to the needs of different people, to unify the space spirit in the corporate culture.

    DIVERSITY
To create the pluralistic atmosphere pursued by the enterprise, the designer has adopted a pluralistic spatial expression of functional transformation. It also coincides with the characteristics of agility in the enterprise character. The designer integrates the functions of pantry/meeting/training in a relatively large area, and forms a unique design language through the transformation and change of different functions.

The “sustainability” pursued by the brand will appear in the space as a whole, invisible and three-dimensional form in our design blueprint. Diffusing in the air, light and energy of the whole body, we stereoscopically present the excellent quality pursued by the brand.
