UPPER Design envisioned a modern and functional office space in Budapest for Business Lease Hungary, with a focus on aligning with the company’s values and creating a seamless workspace that reflects the brand identity.

  • Location Budapest, Hungary,
  • Industry Real Estate Services,
  • Business Lease started in 1989 in the Netherlands. Over the years, the family-owned business has grown into an international corporation but remains 100% family-owned. The reliable car leasing company caters to customer needs in Romania, Slovakia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, and, of course, the The Netherlands. The corporate ethos transcends boundaries, reflecting in operations, branding, and team composition alike.

The Hungarian branch comprises a notably youthful team, enabling them to fully align with corporate values and the dynamic spirit of Business Lease. This dynamism led the Budapest office to relocate to a new Class A office building, leveraging the opportunity to establish a truly modern, functional, and inspiring work environment. The determined, purposeful leadership of Business Lease Hungary Ltd. alongside the collaborative team effort of Cushman & Wakefield and UPPER Design Studio resulted in an exceptionally efficient and seamless joint work, fully reflected in the outcome.

Following a comprehensive professional needs assessment involving active participation from colleagues, the interior design commenced, prioritizing the fulfillment of various company function needs in alignment with the company’s strategy, identity, and communication. Not only are the reception and customer spaces prominent, but the concept design also highlighted communal and workspaces serving colleagues’ collaboration and recreation.

The concept builds upon the main recurring elements of the brand identity manual, and the final result speaks for itself: every corner of the interior embodies Business Lease. Every intricate detail reflects brand elements and shapes: curved designs not only follow contemporary interior design trends but delicately represent reflections of circular and capsule-shaped brand elements on surfaces. The brand colors and applied textures harmonize with the interior; in different functional spaces, they evoke dynamic, characterful, or soothing and homely feelings.

Here’s the recipe for creating an impeccable office from ground zero to
handover: a committed client with clear requirements, thorough preparation, the diligence of the project management, consulting, and design teams, and outstanding teamwork with contractors, suppliers, and professionals.
