Fresh off the wonderful Google Tel Aviv offices, we’ve got another great Google project in Israel to display. This time, it is Google’s Haifa offices which were designed by Setter Architects.
The Google offices are located in Haifa’s Matam High-Tech Park and were inspired by four themes of Haifa: The Sea, Port, Nature (specifically Mount Carmel) and Neighborhoods. The building is shaped with four distinct wings, with one theme for each wing.
Design-wise, this office has a lot in common with other recent Google offices like the heavy use of floor and wall graphics. Interesting textures are used throughout the office and really make the space not look like an actual office, but rather more comfortable and warm. The architect notes that the project made extensive use of recycled materials such as wood and disassembled windows and doors.
In terms of office layout, workstations are placed nearest the windows while meeting rooms and huddle areas are located toward the interior of the office. Employees can also take advantage of such classic Google amenities as a massage room, gym, and cafeteria.
